DT&C Vina — A Pioneer in Rigorous Compliance with SAR Standard QCVN 134:2024/BTTTT

In the era of wireless connectivity, assessing the Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) is not merely a regulatory passport for electronics and telecommunications products to enter the most demanding markets — it is a fundamental measure of user safety. An inaccurate measurement result can lead to serious consequences: either overestimating risk (causing economic loss to the business) or underestimating it (posing health hazards to end users). Effective 15 February 2025, the National Technical Regulation QCVN 134:2024/BTTTT on Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) for hand-held and body-worn wireless communication devices officially came into force in Vietnam. This regulation establishes the mandatory legal framework for testing, conformity certification, and declaration of conformity for mobile phones, laptops, tablets, and DECT wireless telephone devices before they can be placed on the Vietnamese market. QCVN 134:2024/BTTTT sets out numerous stringent technical requirements. In addition to requirements on test systems and procedures, the testing environment conditions are also very strictly regulated — forming the essential foundation for SAR measurements that are accurate, reliable, and legally valid. Join Dt&C Vina as we explore the stringent technical requirements for the SAR testing environment in this article.
