On October 1st, 2025, Dt&C Vina was officially designated by the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) as a testing laboratory qualified to perform testing in accordance with QCVN 134:2024/BTTTT – National Technical Regulation on Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) for handheld and body-worn wireless devices.

This designation marks an important milestone in Dt&C Vina’s development journey, affirming our technical competence, quality management system, and the reliability of our testing results. It also reflects Dt&C Vina’s commitment to cooperating with government authorities to enhance the quality and safety of products and goods on the market, thereby protecting consumer rights.

About SAR (Specific Absorption Rate)

The Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) test is a process used to evaluate the rate at which energy is absorbed by the head, body, or limbs of a person when using a wireless device that emits radio frequency (RF) electromagnetic fields.
This testing allows manufacturers to accurately assess the level of RF exposure that can be emitted by their products while still complying with applicable safety regulations.

According to QCVN 134:2024/BTTTT, the following products must undergo SAR testing at laboratories designated by the Ministry of Science and Technology before being placed on the Vietnamese market:

• Mobile phones for terrestrial use

• Cordless telephone devices using DECT technology (applied to handset units only)

• Laptops

• Tablets

Effective Dates of QCVN 134:2024/BTTTT

According to Circular No. 19/2024/TT-BTTTT, QCVN 134:2024/BTTTT will take effect from February 15th, 2025, and shall be implemented according to the following schedule:

• Voluntary application for testing, conformity certification, and declaration of conformity starting from February 15th, 2025.

• Mandatory application for mobile phones from July 1st, 2026.

• Mandatory application for other applicable products from July 1st, 2027.
