Scope of application

According to the TCVN 7830:2021, it is apllied for non-ducted Air Conditioner having:

• Hermetic compressor
• Air cooling or nature cooling condenser
• Fixed speed type or inverter type
• Rated cooling power up to 12.000w (41000 BTU/h)
• This standard is applied to both stand-alone type and split type Air Conditioner

Objects are not within the scope of application of TCVN 7830: 2021

This TCVN 7830:2021 standard is not applied to below products:

• Water cooling condenser type Television having function of a computer
• Ducted Air conditioner (VRV, VRF, Multi Air Conditioners)
• Portable Air conditioner
• Cassette Air conditioner
• Stand-Floor Air conditioner
• Air conditioner that use three-phase electric power source

Enterprises are encouraged to test performance and publish energy labels for products according to TCVN 7830-2021 before the deadline of 2025. It is expected that from January 1, 2025, enterprises will be required to apply TCVN 7830: 2021 for imported products and domestically produced products.
