List of products that are required to be labeled with energy efficiency

According to Decision No. 04/2017/QD-TTG, a number of devices are required and voluntary to be labeled with energy before being circulated on the market, specifically as follows:

List of mandatory energy labeling products: Straight tube fluorescent lamps, compact fluorescent lamps, electromagnetic and electronic ballasts for fluorescent lamps, air conditioners, rice cookers, electric fans, refrigerators, machines washing machines, television sets, three-phase distribution transformers, electric motors, commercial refrigerators.

Documents proving that the foreign testing laboratory has met the conditions (For the case where the energy labeling test is performed by a foreign testing organization);

Energy labeling process

Step 1: Test samples at domestic testing organizations that meet the provisions of Chapter II of Decree No. 107/2016/ND-CP or foreign testing organizations accredited by ISO/IEC 17025 (or equivalent) by accreditation bodies that have signed mutual recognition agreements (ILAC or APLAC).

Step 2: Submit the application for energy labeling to the Ministry of Industry and Trade Enterprises applying for energy labeling can choose to submit their dossiers via the internet at the website of the Ministry of Industry and Trade or send their dossiers directly or by post to the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

Step 3: After submitting the application for registration of energy labeling to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the enterprise is entitled to self-label the energy in accordance with the information in the Declaration of energy labeling for the registered product.
