Announcement on the expansion of CBTL scope in the field of Household appliances and Lighting equipments

On December 22, 2022, Dt&C VINA testing laboratory was officially approved to expand the scope of CBTL certification standards by the IECEE Secretariat for household appliances and lighting equipments.

Keeping up the momentum and becoming more and more recognizable, Dt&C VINA - The first and only testing laboratory in Vietnam to provide CB certification testing services for home appliances and lighting products , continues to expand the range of testing standards to best meet the rapidly growing customer needs.

Scope of authorization of IECEE CBTL previously obtained by Dt&C VINA:

For home appliances:

IEC 60335-2-9: Ovens, toasters and similar portable cooking appliances
IEC 60335-2-14: Kitchen machines (Food mixers, blenders, centrifugal juicers,...)
IEC 60335-2-15: Equipment for heating liquids (Rice cookers, slow cookers, pressure cookers, etc.)
IEC 60335-2-21: Storage water heaters
IEC 60335-2-23: Skin or hair care appliances (Hair dryers, curling irons, hand dryers, ...)
IEC 60335-2-65: Air cleaners
IEC 60335-2-80: Electric fans

For lighting equipment:

IEC 60598-2-1: Fixed general purpose luminaires
IEC 60598-2-2: Recessed luminaires
IEC 60598-2-3: Luminaires for street and street lighting
IEC 60598-2-4: Portable universal luminaire
IEC 62560: Self-ballasted LEDs
IEC 62776: Dual-cap LEDs for replacing fluorescent lamps with the same caps

IECEE approved extension scope:

For home appliances:

IEC 60335-2-35: Instantaneous water heater
IEC 60335-2-24: Refrigerators, Freezers, Refrigeration - Freezing appliances for household use (also, applies to cold water function in hot/cold water dispensers).

For lighting equipment:

IEC 61347-1: General requirements for LED Drivers.
IEC 61347-2-13: LED Driver (LED lamp controlgears)
IEC 62031: LED Modules.
